Email Publishing with Axon and OnyakTech Forms

Axon is an email marketing module for DNN and OnyakTech Forms has the ability to integrate with it. Below are the details on how to use this feature.

Instant Email Blasting from OnyakTech Forms

This feature makes it possible to execute an Axon campaign with content entered into your Form. The values entered into your form are merged with the Email Template you define in Display Setup and this becomes the content of the emails Axon will send.

To enable this feature:

  1. Open Display Setup and expand the section "External Module Integration"
  2. Check "Axon - Submit Form entries as email content and execute selected Axon Campaign
  3. Select the Axon Campaign you wish to execute on form Submit in the "Axon Campaign" listing
  4. Click "Update" to save your changes

Custom Email Opt-In Form

With this feature you can design your own email newsletter sign-up form. The OnyakTech Axon Opt-In module for DNN includes additional features for managing subscribers, before creating your own custom Opt-In form for Axon you may want to take a look at what that module offers.

To enable this feature:

  1. Open Display Setup and expand the section "External Module Integration"
  2. Check the option "Add the value entered into the [TEXTBOX-EMAILTO] control as a subscriber to the Campaign selected"
  3. Select the Axon Campaign you want to subscribe people to on form Submit in the "Axon Campaign" listing
  4. Click "Update" to save your changes
  5. In your form, add the token [TEXTBOX-EMAILTO]. This is a textbox that will be displayed on your form for people to enter the email address they want to subscribe to your newsletter. Additional tokens are listed below.

You can use the tokens listed above to display the subscibers details in your emails sent from DNN.  
[TEXTBOX-EMAIL] [USR-EMAIL] Sets the email address for the subscriber. You can use this token instead of EMAILTO.
[TEXTBOX-EMAILTO] [USR-EMAIL] Sets the email address for the subscriber.
[TEXTBOX-FIRSTNAME]] [USR-FIRSTNAME]] Sets the first name of the subscriber.
[TEXTBOX-LASTNAME]] [USR-LASTNAME]] Sets the last name of the subscriber.
